Welcome

I’m a photographer and creative based in Portland, Oregon. What began as a simple way to slow down and notice things more closely has become a lasting part of my life;  a creative outlet and a way to connect with the world around me.   

Field & Lens grew out of that same mindset, born from a desire to capture what I see in an honest and grounded way. Whether it is a still morning by the coast, the steady rhythm of a passing cloud, or the calm that comes from watching a heron at the edge of a pond, I try to create images that reflect a sense of place, calm, and perspective, whether from the ground or the air.

Photography continues to remind me to look more carefully and to appreciate the simple, fleeting moments that often end up meaning the most.

What started as a personal pursuit has slowly taken shape as a small creative business. I’ll soon be sharing more about how to purchase prints and other work through Field & Lens.
